Instructions to download the TESSA Resources from the website

For computers running Windows XP or later editions.
(Please note, if the computer you are using is running an earlier version of Windows, you may not be able to download the TESSA resources or the process may be different.)

Step 1: Download the zipped folder onto the hard drive of your computer or laptop
To download the resources, click “here” to download the files.
(This file is very big so it may take a long time to download).

Step 2: Choose ‘Save’ to save the files to an appropriate place on your hard drive.
(if you can choose, save them on your desktop or make a note of where it is being saved)

Step 3: Extract the files from the zipped folder.
Once you have downloaded the folder to your computer or laptop, right-click on the folder and select ‘Extract all’ or ‘WinZip’ from the menu. Extract the files to the place on the computer where you want them to be stored.

Step 4: Open the files you have downloaded
The resources are now saved on your computer or laptop in your chosen folder. To look at the resources, click on the folder called ‘cd_temp’.
Open the document called ‘readme’ saved in this folder. This will tell you how to open the TESSA resources you have downloaded.
You can also now copy these resources to a USB flash drive or CD ROM (see the instructions below).

To save the files onto a CD.
(Please be aware that most country files take up a total of 300-500 MB of space so your CD will have to be this size or larger to hold all the files)

Step 1:
Right click on the folder of resources you have downloaded and extracted. Select ‘Send to’ and then ’DVD/CD-RW Drive’.

Step 2:
Open the folder for the DVD / CD drive and you should see the files there waiting to be written to the CD. Select ‘Write files to CD’ from the menu on the left-hand side and the CD Writing Wizard should appear.

Step 3:
Follow the steps of the CD Writing Wizard and when prompted, put a blank CD into your computer or laptop. Once the CD writing process is complete, take the CD out. It should now contain all the TESSA resources from the website.
