TESSA website
TESSA website

In the last few months, we have been developing the TESSA website. The main difference for partners that were involved in developing TESSA is that the resources are now presented in such a way that teachers and teacher educators across sub-Saharan Africa will feel encouraged to explore the TESSA library, by selecting their own country from the menu on the front page.  This reflects our belief that these materials have wide applicability.

The fact that they are ‘open’ means they can be adapted and localised as required. The ‘About us’ – ‘history’ section explains who the original partners were and people in those countries (Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Uganda, Zambia, Togo, Sudan, South Africa, Rwanda and Tanzania) will automatically be directed to their countries’ versions.

We will be continuing with the development of the website; one addition which will be coming is the near future are ‘Examples of Use’ – some short case studies to demonstrate how TESSA OER can be used to tackle particular issues.

We hope you like the new website. Any feedback should be directed to tessa@open.ac.uk.
